- About Us -

SPRINTCARBITS was founded approximately twelve months ago. We ourselves fell as victims when we put our trust in one of the other current race car importing companies. We were informed the chassis and engine in the car we were buying was new. We made the purchase and went to the track with our “new” toys and to our surprise after only 3 laps the “new” engine blew up. Through a long process of investigating, we found that not only had the chassis been wrecked and repaired, but also that the “new” engine wasn’t even close to being what was described by the seller.

After this personal experience and a bit of time to reflect on it, we decided to start our own importing business and do our best to provide New Zealand competitors with top of the line racing equipment from the USA at the lowest possible prices. SPRINTCARBITS was formed by local legendary stock car and sprint car racer Keith Simpson (Simbo). Keith has owned several successful businesses and is well known for his honesty and standing firm behind his business transactions. This company was started because of Keith’s passion and love for auto racing and his desire to see the local racing community grow.

Another key person behind the scenes of Sprint Car Bits is American racer Ricky Logan. Ricky has been racing in New Zealand during his off season for several years and is well known in New Zealand by racers and promoters alike to also being a honest person and following through with his word. Because of Ricky’s years of professional racing in the USA, he has been able to open a lot of doors for Sprint Car Bits and help purchase products at a discounted price so we can pass that savings onto our customers.

The on track results from this team speak for themselves and all the equipment used by the team can be purchased right here in South Auckland. Sprint Car Bits is very much a family business and has long term plans of growth. Keith’s business plans are not to take over the current monopoly of importing parts and cars, but to hopefully end that monopoly and force the other businesses to offer parts at a reasonable price to the competitors. His goal is to give the consumers an option and let them choose which company will provide the best service and products.
